So school is back in session and my life has started to approach something that looks suspciously like normalcy...yay me?

In other news, school+laptop= a renewed dedication to fanfic. I'm finally going to finish the four-part Gibbs/DiNozzo thing I've got going. Cool, right?

Unfortunately a shadow is cast over all this good news...bruce is dead. He was just a fish but he did excellent fish-like things and was very, very pretty while doing them. Bye Bruce. Sorry about the whole toilet thing.

The fun part of my job is that while we all agree that it sucks to clean up other peoples boogers, being married Tom Cruise is probably a whole lot worse.

So, I have roughly seven hours to read a connecticut yankee in king arthur's court and then write a paper solely of annotations on the time periods of both the Yankee and Arthur, the literary allusions peppering the book, and basic etymology of words like 'peradventure' and I can't find my history book.

I should probably just move the coffee maker to my room.

To top that my dog has just destroyed a newspaper in the front room and my parents are coming to visit. I named him Jack so I guess I should have expected rampant destruction and mischief combined with generally distracting adorableness. The little bastard has been leaving forks, spoons, and poop all around the house and has finally learned to get on the couch. I find this cute. Am doomed to live in house of poop for the rest of my life (or the rest of his).

In conclusion, puppies are really fun for like five minutes and I am going to fail college.

I'm just going to say that V for Vendetta is very possibly the best comic-book-made-moveie there is. Yes, Batman was great, Sin City was weird and attractively bizarre, and X-Men is probably going to be fantastic....but I'm sure they're going to pack quite as much punch as this one did.

V only reinforces the fact that ideals can be smokin' hot. You can't have sex with an ideal...but you can get pretty damn close.

Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Didn't stick to the comicbook religiously but the movie was better because of that fact and not in spite of it. Natalie portman was suprisingly enough really very good.

Also, pleasant surprise......Stephen FRY! The other half of Jeeves and Wooster doin' his thing. Yay! I love that man. Just lovvem.

So, anyone stumbling into my journal, go see V for Vendetta. You'll kick yourself later if you don't.
